Job Opportunity

DCS Corp is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to support the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) Modeling, Analysis, and Tools Support (SEMATS) contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing CAD modeling, design, and technical drawing review within the USAF SEEK EAGLE organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support wind tunnel model design in conjunction with aerodynamic analyses.
  • Perform CAD modeling and design using NX, focusing on creating and reviewing technical drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Build, review, and modify wind tunnel model components based on structural analysis results and communication with model fabricators.
  • Prepare and review technical drawings for use in test hardware and wind tunnel model fabrication and installation (experience with ASME Y14.5 preferred).
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers to maintain accelerated schedules and meet critical program timelines.
  • Professionally document certification artifacts, engineering documentation (e.g., test plans, analysis results), and formal presentations.
  • Work as a member of a discipline team in a dynamic multi-tasking environment.
  • Support the aircraft/store certification process.
  • Design/direct ground tests, wind tunnel tests, and flight tests.
  • Apply modeling and simulation tools to complex, challenging, and unprecedented aerodynamic configurations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience (or a Master's degree plus 5 years).
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months.
  • Experience with established CAD modeling software (NX preferred).
  • Experience with technical drawing preparation and checking (ASME Y14.5 preferred).
  • General engineering experience including familiarity with modeling & simulation.
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
  • Ability to travel using commercial airlines is required to support professional obligations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in aerodynamic analysis and design, preferably in aerospace industry.
  • Experience with established industry finite element analysis (FEA) software (e.g., PATRAN/NASTRAN) is a plus.
  • Experience performing structural analysis hand calculations.
  • Knowledge of aircraft, air-launched weapons, and aircraft suspension equipment.
  • Experience operating in LINUX/UNIX environments using scripting languages (Python, PERL, etc.).
