Production Assembler

Job Summary:

Versa Products (NJ) is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team. As an Assembly Line Technician, you will be responsible for assembling parts using bolts, screws, and rivets as specified by job instructions and/or blueprints as directed by lead or manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts into complete products or sub-assemblies in a timely manner, as determined by management, using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Connect electric wires to terminals of sub-units.
  • Conduct simple functional tests of completed units following prescribed procedure.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot assembly performance problems.
  • Work as an individual or part of a team.
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping and 5S conditions in work areas.
  • Train to become a full-time product tester.
  • Cross train and move to other lines as needed.
  • Complete duties or special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Knowledge of air tools.
  • Previous experience as a product assembler is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Dependability.
  • Great attitude.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
