Job Title: Grade Foreman

Fred Smith Company is seeking an experienced Grade Foreman to join our team in Wilson, NC.

Job Summary:

As a Grade Foreman, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the crew and equipment on all assigned projects. You will maintain all logs, daily reports, and ensure that all time records are accurately entered each day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the crew and equipment on all assigned projects
  • Maintain all logs, daily reports, and time records
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform daily JSA meetings and weekly Toolbox Talks
  • Assist and direct crews in the use of equipment and resources
  • Manage quality of work, productivity, and costs associated with the project
  • Maintain good relations with the public, engineers, inspectors, and customers
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Foreman in heavy civil construction
  • Previous self-perform experience with grading and site work operations, water/sewer/storm drain construction, asphalt paving
  • Experience with plans and crew and equipment scheduling
  • Valid driver's license with a positive driving history
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
