Perishables Representative Job Summary

As a Perishables Representative at HEB Grocery Stores, you will be responsible for maintaining a well-stocked and well-maintained department. Your duties will include preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for maintaining all department and food safety/sanitation standards. Additionally, you will slice, package, label, and rotate products, as well as cut, wrap, and price produce to be placed on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Prepare and merchandise fresh products on a daily basis.
  • Maintain all department and food safety/sanitation standards.
  • Slice, package, label, and rotate products.
  • Cut, wrap, and price produce to be placed on the sales floor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
