Whittier Health Network is seeking a dedicated Nutritional Services Assistant to support our dietary team. This role involves part-time shifts totaling 12 to 16 hours per week, primarily during the evening hours from 4pm to 8pm.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and organize patient meal trays by accurately mixing and measuring all cold side dishes in accordance with established recipes.
- Safely transport food carts to various nursing areas and ensure their return to the kitchen post meal service, including proper loading for dishwashing.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment throughout the day, adhering to all sanitation protocols.
- Assist with additional kitchen tasks as directed by management.
- Regularly remove waste from kitchen workstations and dispose of it properly.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations are required.
- Candidates should be able to read and understand recipes and menus in English.
This position is essential to ensuring the quality of service provided to our patients.
