Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Night Custodian to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the physical district offices, school sites, and grounds in a condition of operating excellence.

About the Role: As a Night Custodian, you will perform various duties during the evenings within the school year and during the day throughout summer. Your responsibilities will include general cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and district offices, as well as assisting in necessary painting and general repairs.

  • Perform duties in the evenings within the school year and during the day throughout summer;
  • Participate in general cleaning and maintenance of school buildings and district offices;
  • Assist in necessary painting and general repairs necessary for maintenance of buildings;
  • Promote the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees;

Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a High School diploma or valid G.E.D. Additionally, you must have a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint card and experience as a school custodian or equivalent position. You should also demonstrate knowledge and expertise in basic techniques of electrical and maintenance, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.

Benefits: This is a full-time position, with 5 days per week at 8 hours per day/260 days/1,690 hours per year. Hourly rate and workdays established by the Board. Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Staff. Additional benefits include paid insurance, pharmacy, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, paid vacation, and employer contribution to Arizona Retirement.
