At the Good Samaritan Society, we are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Salary Range: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting, demonstrating competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. The LPN will also possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed, recognizing problems, recommending solutions, and responding effectively to assist in an emergent situation.

Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform routine tasks such as vital sign monitoring, wound care, and dressing changes
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and treatment

Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Obtain and maintain required department specific competencies and certifications
- Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
