Job Summary

UCSF Fresno and VACCHCS are seeking candidates for full or part-time faculty positions at the VACCHCS in Fresno. The successful candidate will provide psychiatric care for designated patients, conduct psychiatric examinations and treatment, and coordinate medical care with patient primary care providers.

Responsibilities

  • Primary provider of psychiatric care for designated patients
  • Provide psychiatric examination and treatment and coordination of medical care with patient's primary care provider
  • Responsible for emergent and/or triage functions for walk-in patients
  • Coordinating consultations and referrals of patients to other medical and/or mental health services
  • Coordinating preventive health care needs according to established guidelines and sound psychiatric practice
  • Reviewing of patient care and treatment decisions

Requirements

  • Candidates must be either board certified or eligible in Psychiatry (US Boards) by the date of hire
  • Candidates must be California medical licensed or eligible to obtain a California medical license
  • Candidates must have completed Psychiatry residency training
