Key Responsibilities- Assist and support Professional Registered Nurses in all aspects of direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of soiled linens.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
This is a casual evening shift position, working 16 hours per week. Alternating weekends are required. The Patient Care Technician will work under the direction and supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail at all times.
