Network Engineer and IT Specialist with Polygraph Required

About the Role:

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer/IDS team member to join our Enterprise Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining classified network infrastructure, as well as providing technical support for unclassified computer systems and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Management:
    • Design, implement, and maintain the classified network infrastructure.
    • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing on the classified network.
    • Implement and maintain network security measures.
    • Ensure compliance with all government and organizational security policies and standards.
  • Computer and Hardware Support:
    • Provide technical support for all unclassified computer systems and hardware on-site.
    • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
    • Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of all IT assets.
    • Assist with the setup and deployment of new computer systems and peripheral devices.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with other IDS team members to address and resolve IT-related issues.
    • Assist in the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Participate in on-call support rotation to address critical IT issues outside of regular business hours.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage IT projects related to network upgrades, security enhancements, and system deployments.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
    • Prepare and present project status reports and recommendations to management.

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly Required.
  • U.S. Citizen Required.
  • Must be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification or Higher DoD 8572 qualified certificate within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering and IT support.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security principles.
  • Experience with classified network environments and familiarity with government security regulations.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
