Overview:
As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining emergency medical vehicles during your assigned shifts. You will assist in patient care as directed by registered nurses and paramedics, while also providing independent patient care according to established treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the safe operation of emergency vehicles and maintain equipment in optimal condition.
2. Utilize communication devices effectively, demonstrating clear and accurate communication skills.
3. Engage in direct patient care within the EMT-B scope of practice.
4. Exercise independent judgment in the implementation and evaluation of EMT-Basic care based on transport treatment protocols.
5. Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a high level of teamwork.
6. Resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively when necessary.
7. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, demonstrating care and compassion.
8. Participate in ongoing education to enhance knowledge and skills, completing mandatory continuing education requirements annually.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulance driving

Licensure/Certification:
- Required: Current valid EMT certification, BLS (CPR) certification, and completion of Emergency Vehicle Operator's course within the first year of employment. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Note: This position requires a pre-employment Physical Capacity Profile Test.
