Job Title: Security Guard

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking a part-time Security Guard to join our team at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum. As a Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, guests, and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high security standards by conducting regular patrols of the premises, monitoring CCTV cameras, and responding to emergency situations.
  • Greet employees and guests, verify their identity, and communicate positively and professionally with co-workers, vendors, and clients.
  • Assist in emergency situations, including evacuation and injury, and monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all floors and levels, write reports, and document incidents using the incident reporting form.
  • Work closely with operations staff to effectively meet visitors and programming needs while maintaining safety and security measures.
  • Operate magnetometers for the screening of all staff and visitors to the venue.
  • Respond immediately to fire control center to locate, acknowledge, and silence alarm.
  • Respond to all safety and security calls in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience, preferably in the security field monitoring a large CCTV network and familiarity with camera operations and video retrieval.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to stand for a period of time, climb stairs, and work in all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, diplomatic, and outgoing attitude.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, apply independent judgment and discretion, and identify, analyze, and resolve security-related matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Unarmed guard certificate from TN Protective Services or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to maintain PCI compliance.
