At Builders FirstSource, we're committed to helping you achieve your career goals. As a Maintenance Technician II in our Indirect Truss Shop, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions, using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove and replace defective parts, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
  • Adjust and calibrate functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories
  • Prepare and submit technical reports and documentation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate from a vocational school in maintenance technology preferred
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Valid driver's license

Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed. May be required to drive to other facilities. Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to sit. Occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
