Louis Allis is a leading manufacturer of industrial electric motors, catering to demanding applications worldwide.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description

We are currently seeking 1st shift winders for our facility in Warrior, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for rewinding various electro-mechanical equipment and performing electrical testing of motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and strip AC and DC motor parts for rewinding.
  • Wind coils, insulate, insert coils, and connect standard AC stators.
  • Wind coils, insulate, insert coils, and connect DC armatures and field frames.
  • Operate specialized repair and/or testing equipment.
  • Perform Level C field service work at customer sites.
  • Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas.
  • Understand machine lubrication, maintenance, and proper operation.
  • Perform electrical AC and DC motor tests using various equipment.
  • Perform shaft vibration analysis.
  • Other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by the shift leadman, plant manager, and/or president.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma preferred.
