BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part Time Medical Director to join our team. As a Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in providing medical leadership and direction to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Admitting Patients: Admit patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Covering Absences: Cover absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Medical Evaluation: Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including history and physical exams, to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Documentation and Orders: Accurately document patient information and enter orders for methadone dosing in the electronic medical record (EMR) or write buprenorphine prescriptions, maintaining high standards of medical documentation.
- Patient Monitoring: Consistently monitor patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors, and Dosing Nurses, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- High-Risk Patient Consultation: Consult with patients who are high-risk and conduct annual medication reviews, providing expert medical guidance and support.
- Location Rotation: Rotate between Chatsworth and Blairsville locations, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor, showcasing a commitment to teamwork and flexibility.
- Licensure: Must be licensed in the state of Georgia.
- Experience: One year of addiction medicine experience is required, with six months of primary care experience also necessary.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
