Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for the position of Journeyman Meat Cutter- Fresno County. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting daily production needs and quality standards in meat cutting and preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, and price meat department products.
  • Order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen food products.
  • Package, prepare trays, weigh items to properly label, rotate product, and remove out-of-code date products.
  • Ensure proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about products and services.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.
  • Prior Meat Department experience, including cutting of meat.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
  • Ability to perform simple and repetitive tasks.
  • Meat (to include primal cuts), poultry, fish, and pre-packaged products knowledge.
