Position Overview

The Senior SharePoint Specialist at EMTAK LLC will be responsible for overseeing the transition from SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Spearhead the migration initiative, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Migration Strategy Development: Formulate and implement a detailed migration plan, encompassing all phases from planning to deployment.
  • Environment Assessment: Evaluate the existing SharePoint setup, pinpoint migration needs, and devise timelines for execution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT departments, project stakeholders, and end-users to gather insights and align with organizational goals.
  • Configuration Management: Set up SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 configurations to guarantee peak performance and seamless integration.
  • Governance and Compliance: Establish best practices for governance, security, and compliance within SharePoint Online.
  • Technical Support: Offer ongoing technical assistance to both the project team and end-users throughout the migration journey.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track migration advancements, resolve any issues that arise, and ensure prompt solutions.
  • Post-Migration Evaluation: Conduct reviews after migration to refine processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 features, assessing and recommending new technologies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with FS Poly
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and effectively manage stakeholder relationships
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in SharePoint Online administration, including setup, customization, and integration
  • Expertise in migrating SharePoint from on-premises to cloud-based solutions
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications and their integration with SharePoint Online
  • Demonstrated experience as a SharePoint Administrator or Lead, particularly in migration contexts
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail
  • In-depth understanding of SharePoint architecture and best practices
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required within six months of employment
  • Bachelor's Degree with 14 years of relevant technical experience (five years of technical experience may substitute for degree).
