We are currently seeking two skilled Mission Quality Assurance Leaders to oversee and implement quality assurance protocols across various programs. This role involves ensuring that quality standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle, including the management of supplier compliance with internal and external quality requirements. The selected candidates will serve as the primary advocates for our clients, ensuring successful mission outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute Mission/Quality Assurance functions as part of a program team or Integrated Product Team (IPT), focusing on Quality Systems Assurance, Supplier Quality, and Hardware Quality.
  • Review and provide quality oversight on procurement documents, including Statements of Work and quality specifications.
  • Chair the Material Review Board (MRB) and support the Failure Review Board (FRB), collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Present findings and non-conformances to management effectively.
  • Engage in program documentation reviews, approvals, and verifications.
  • Participate in manufacturing and supplier technical reviews.
  • Guide multi-disciplinary teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, emphasizing root cause corrective actions (RCCA), Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and other analytical techniques.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers.
  • Apply knowledge of Government Quality Standards relevant to aerospace, defense, and commercial sectors.
  • Maintain J-Std-001/IPC-A-610 Certification.
  • Mentor and support team members in both routine and challenging situations.
  • Collaborate closely with program personnel in a production environment.
  • Provide regular updates on program status to management.
  • Operate with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 and/or AS9100).
  • Familiarity with risk management, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience conducting First Article Inspections per AS9102.
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings/specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with Nonconforming Material Boards and/or Failure Review Boards (MRB/FRB).
  • Proven track record in root cause corrective actions (RCCAs) and applying quality methodologies.
  • Experience in Supplier Quality, Hardware Quality, and Quality Systems Assurance tasks.
  • Possession of an active U.S. government issued security clearance is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain additional program access as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing program direction to ensure quality objectives are met within budget and timelines.
  • Experience in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for proposals.
  • Familiarity with factory systems and software (e.g., PRISM, SAP, Windchill).
  • Experience with J-Std-001/IPC-A-610.
  • Six Sigma Certification or equivalent credentials.
  • Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager.
  • Formal training as an ISO9001 and/or AS9100 lead auditor.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, and presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings, including with clients and government representatives.
