Job Summary:

Western Engineering Contractors Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our Underground Division as a full-time employee. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, we offer a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the greater Sacramento area and surrounding foothills.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Pipe Layer, you will perform a combination of tasks, including grading, underground utilities, and asphalt paving. You will work as a member of a construction crew, ensuring the successful completion of projects. Your duties will include:

  • Performing tasks with minimal supervision
  • Working effectively in a team environment
  • Ensuring quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Meeting project deadlines and requirements


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction, including grading, underground utilities, and asphalt paving
  • Dependability, quality orientation, and self-motivation
  • A valid Class A or B license (a plus)
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Competence with laser setup and use (senior level-grading)
  • Familiarity with plan and stake reading (grading & underground)
