We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Client Services Float to join our team at Memorial Hospital of Laramie County. As a Lab Client Services Float, you will play a critical role in ensuring client outreach support and satisfaction efforts by assisting with three areas of the laboratory: Courier, Processing, and Client Services Tech.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to internal and external clients.
- Utilize the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and network efficiently to handle daily incoming and outgoing phone calls, dispatch couriers and phlebotomists, and provide basic specimen collection information and releases patient results to healthcare staff.
- Monitor work lists to ensure panic values and call or fax requests are completed promptly according to policy and procedure.
- Assist Client Service Techs with administrative duties such as scanning, filing, billing tasks, and data entry.
- Pick up STAT and routine specimens in a timely manner, ensuring proper turnaround times for specimen results while following specimen transport and handling safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate from an accredited program.
- One or more years of customer service experience.
- Valid USA driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Clinical laboratory experience.
- EPIC/Beaker experience.
