About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Services Technician. This is a full-time onsite role based in San Francisco, and we offer a competitive salary and equity in the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support general lab responsibilities, such as sterilization, washing glassware, and sorting and stocking.
  • Work with our R&D teams to plan for upcoming experiments and assist in purchasing and receiving of lab equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the preparation of buffers and cell culture media to support various R&D groups.
  • Filling out batch records, writing SOPs, and maintaining records as required.
  • Promote a strong safety and quality culture.
  • Work with our facilities team to maintain equipment and keep accurate records.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of lab support experience or background in research, laboratory (industry or academic).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and precise.
  • A strong understanding of various lab equipment, consumables, and their uses.
  • A great can-do attitude and an insatiable appetite for learning new things.
What We'll Teach You

We'll provide you with the unique context of our laboratory operations in support of cutting-edge cell-cultivated seafood production. You'll learn media preparation techniques applicable to bench and pilot scale operations, filter integrity testing, and tubing/manifold assembly.

  • Within 6 months: You'll be ready to operate independently, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Within 12 months: You'll be working closely with our operations manager to continuously improve the efficiency of our lab operations.
