About the Role

The Security Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for all occupants of the property by ensuring that the premises are maintained in accordance with all laws, regulations, and codes pertaining to safety and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post at entry points, welcoming and greeting guests, and ensuring they are authorized to be inside the venue.
  • Monitor the property on foot, identifying and promptly reporting or solving any safety or security issues.
  • Manage conflict between guests, patrons, or employees, utilizing knowledge and training to resolve issues safely and effectively.
  • Respond to emergencies on the property, taking necessary steps to report or correct the situation.
  • Assist with medical emergencies, administer first aid, and recognize when emergency medical attention is needed.
  • Complete investigations and prepare written reports for incidents, including medical emergencies, property loss and damage, or other criminal activity.
  • Maintain an inventory of lost and found property, communicating with guests and preparing shipments for return.
  • Record daily activity on a typed Daily Activity Report.
Requirements
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of operations in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Ability to stand in one place for extended periods and remain on feet for up to 8 hours.
  • Technologically sound with Microsoft Office applications.
