Machining Operations Specialist

Job Summary

Candidates will perform all maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance functions for all CNC and manual mills and lathes machines, building, equipment, and grounds.

This role includes routine inspections and repair or replacement of machines, equipment, and the building's operating system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repairs to shop equipment, including CNC and manual mills and lathes, manual equipment, forklifts, paint booths, and other support equipment.
  • Schedules outside repair technicians as needed for complex repairs.
  • Plans, schedules, and implements preventative maintenance.
  • Manages building and grounds maintenance.
  • Assesses production schedules to minimize downtime for all repairs.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and addresses maintenance issues and requests to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Works with outside contractors to procure parts and services, providing guidance on work required to be performed and overseeing project completion.
  • Ensures complete documentation of annual inspections, certifications, regulatory requirements, service to all equipment, and repairs.
  • Contributes to safety process improvements and participates in the safety committee.
  • Submits requisitions to Purchasing for parts, oils, lubricants, materials, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items.
  • Maintains a clean and organized maintenance room, creating and updating an inventory list of maintenance parts.
  • Performs other tasks as warranted or assigned by management.
