Thompson Hospitality is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking shelves and supplies as needed.
- Assist with duties in other areas of the store as needed.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure accuracy and reconcile with total sales.
- Monitor checkout stations to ensure adequate cash availability and staff coverage.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
