As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing fresh, delicious meals for our patients and residents. If you have a passion for cooking and a background in culinary arts, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu, utilizing standardized recipes.
- Ensure that food prepared is of proper quantity and in accordance with established time schedules.
- Utilize correct portion control utensils during the preparation and duration of food service to ensure the proper quantity of food is prepared.
- Check and maintain proper food temperatures during food preparation and services, recording those temperatures according to established policy.
- Ensure an adequate supply of food, supplies, etc. are available at all times, reporting inadequate stock levels to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Minimum 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
- Food handler's permit required.
- Ability to speak, understand, and write fluently in English.
