EMIT Technologies is in search of a skilled powder coating technician for our manufacturing operations. The role of a Powder Coater is crucial in the production line, involving various responsibilities such as loading and unloading the coating booths, inspecting items for imperfections, and preparing products for the application of coatings, alongside equipment maintenance.

Primary Duties:
  • Document product manufacturing order numbers.
  • Prepare components and items for the coating process.
  • Examine coated items for issues like runs, sags, or inconsistent coverage.
  • Assess coating thickness to ensure it meets required specifications.
  • Conduct touch-ups and rework as necessary to uphold quality standards.
  • Safely operate and manage equipment for applying powder coatings on various components.
  • Apply powder coatings while adhering to established principles and practices of the coating process.
  • Load and unload the coating booth, and maintain cleanliness of application equipment and the booth.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in powder coating is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in powder coating or a related industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with powder coating machinery and methodologies.
  • Strong focus on detail and quality assurance.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and utilize personal protective equipment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team setting.
  • Physical capability to lift, stand, and work for prolonged periods.
