The Ambulatory Registered Nurse 2 plays a crucial role in patient care by recognizing patterns in patient responses and leveraging past experiences to devise effective solutions. This position requires a skilled nurse who has honed technical competencies and employs evidence-based practices in their daily work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops a compassionate and therapeutic rapport with patients and their families through effective communication and shared goal-setting.
2. Formulates a care plan that respects the unique attributes of patients, families, and communities, including cultural and psychosocial factors.
3. Maintains professional relationships with healthcare team members through clear communication and mutual respect.
4. Effectively resolves conflicts and enhances team dynamics to foster a positive work environment.
5. Coordinates patient care utilizing the nursing process and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the healthcare continuum.
6. Implements evidence-based nursing interventions during clinical visits and other patient interactions, adhering to state regulations and organizational policies.
7. Shares current evidence-based practices and care standards with colleagues.
8. Engages in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to the development of care protocols that enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher for new hires.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively lead and educate.
• Ability to interact positively in challenging situations.
• Proficient in document review and data entry, with attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to navigate the medical center and remain on foot for the majority of the shift.
• Capability to lift and carry objects weighing 35-40 lbs, as well as assist patients who may weigh over 300 lbs.
• Work environment may involve exposure to potentially infectious materials and hazardous substances.
