Position Overview

The Registered Nurse in the Unit-Based Pool provides essential care in the acute care settings of the Heart and Vascular service line. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care units and those requiring specialized management for long-term conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required within five years of employment.

Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience is required.

Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia and possess American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.

Physical Requirements

This position involves prolonged standing, frequent movement, and the ability to lift and transport patients. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
