Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, including those who have undergone open heart surgery.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor patient vital signs, maintaining accurate records of patient care and progress.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care, providing leadership and direction to support staff as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to detect medical issues early, responding quickly and confidently to emergent situations.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- One year of experience in nursing, preferably in a cardiovascular or critical care setting.
- Current Texas State RN License.
- CPR certification (American Heart Association).
Our Cardiovascular Step-Down unit is a 27-private bed unit that specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery. We offer flexible scheduling and a team-oriented work environment, promoting communication and collaboration among our healthcare professionals.
