About the Role

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division. As a Machinist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality packaging solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool and Die Making: Design, manufacture, and maintain tools and dies for the production of packaging components.
  • Machining and Grinding: Operate machine tools and grinders to precision-tolerance parts and specified finishes.
  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks to create custom parts and equipment.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and verify tooling and parts to ensure compliance with print specifications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production teams to provide prompt and efficient support in breakdown situations and provide service to operating departments on appropriations and preventative maintenance.
Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of a post-secondary education program certified in tool and die making, maintenance machinism, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of recent experience in tool and die making, maintenance machinism, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certification in welding using at least three of the following processes: brazing, gas welding, electric arc, tungsten inert gas, and wirefeed.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to read and produce prints, layout, and fabricate parts; knowledge of metals, threads, and fits; initiative, good judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision; and strong communication skills.
