We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Adventist Medical Center - Hanford. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with procedures, including invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems.
- Operate x-ray and physiological equipment, including C-Arm angiographic injectors and associated patient monitoring equipment.
- Maintain equipment and records test results, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Provide protection to patients in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards, using collimation, patient radiation protection, and immobilization techniques.
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including the administration of opaque media via catheter or direct injection.
- Complete appropriate forms at the start and end of any special procedures, including special procedures record sheet and Radiology requisition.
- Perform general office duties as requested, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- One year's catheterization experience: Preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of radiation safety standards and protocols, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and other medical hazards. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail, even in high-stress situations.
