Cath Lab Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center El Paso.

Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting with cardiovascular procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with cardiovascular procedures, including catheterizations and angioplasties
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, including cath lab machines and monitors
  • Ensure a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies
Requirements
  • Current certification in ACLS and BLS
  • Experience in a cath lab setting, preferably with RCIS or Cardiovascular Nurse certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Work Schedule

Days: 8 hours, with flexibility to work varying shifts based on operational needs

Weekends: On-call team, with emergent cases as needed

Unit Information

Our cath lab features 3 operating rooms, with 2 EP-compatible rooms

We use Meditech EMR and have a variety of equipment, including cath lab machines and monitors

Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and is committed to ongoing education and training
