MEP Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to join our team at Diamond Development Group. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for coordinating all field operations of subcontractors to deliver new building mixed-use construction projects on schedule and on budget.

Our projects are located throughout the tri-state area, with a primary focus in Manhattan. As an MEP Superintendent, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications, assisting the project team from design development through project completion, and providing input on project schedules, reporting, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage subcontractor field operations to ensure timely completion of projects
• Review and interpret plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Assist project team in design development, project planning, and project execution
• Provide input on project schedules, reporting, and budgets
• Manage and direct on-site subcontractors to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of safety on the jobsite, including regular inspections and reporting
• Lead MEP BIM coordination meetings with trades and process documentation from these meetings
• Manage all requirements with various governmental jurisdictions, such as NYC DOB, FDNY, DEP, and Department of Health, to ensure project compliance with local codes
• Manage work associated with utilities, including coordination with Con Ed, Verizon, Comcast, and other third-party providers
• Assist project team in change order documentation and provide training to operations staff upon project completion
• Coordinate all third-party inspections and maintain daily jobsite documentation to ensure quality control and safety compliance
• Review, understand, and implement scope sheets and provide technical and operational direction to subcontractors
• Communicate with the project manager on a daily basis and understand when situations require documentation

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in ground-up new construction buildings in NYC, ranging from 10-20 stories
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred
• Experience with various construction-based computer software, such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and others
• Self-motivated with strong leadership and communication skills
• NYC Super's license and all associated OSHA trainings
• Ability to react to field conditions and treat them as opportunities to solve the issue
• Experience with BIM, Navisworks, REVIT, CAD, or equivalent

Experience Level: 5 years
