Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Night Auditor to join our team at Schulte Companies. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all charges to guest folios, handling end-of-day accounting functions, and maintaining the security and integrity of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and reconcile daily guest ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of all charges.
  • Process end-of-day accounting functions, including posting daily room rates and room tax, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of all charges to guest folios, including food, room, and other departmental charges.
  • Average and reconcile revenues from all accounts receivable, including food, room, and other departments.
  • Act as front desk clerk, checking guests in and out, booking reservations, and resolving guest issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Make cash drops in accordance with proper cash handling procedures to ensure accurate and secure financial transactions.
  • Organize and maintain the Front Desk area to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to the morning Front Desk staff.
  • Monitor and maintain hotel security camera system to ensure the safety and security of our guests and staff.
  • Ensure the lobby is well-maintained, properly lit, and with music at a comfortable volume to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure 24/7 coverage and excellent guest service.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) and accounting software.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Basic accounting and math skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
