Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in thorough palliative care evaluations and care plan formulation.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to equality, fairness, and cultural awareness in delivering palliative care services to a diverse patient population.
- Utilize prescriptive authority judiciously to manage complex symptoms, including responsible stewardship of opiates and controlled substances.
- Provide palliative care services through various modalities, including in-person visits, video consultations, and telephonic interactions.
- Engage in extra-clinical activities aimed at promoting education, clinical ethics, team development, quality enhancement, and clinical innovation.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to establish and expand a leading palliative care service line.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Care
- Active medical licenses or eligibility to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
- Work visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
