Position Summary

We are seeking a Custom Protection Officer (CPO) Flex Officer. The CPO Flex Officer will perform armed and/or unarmed patrols on foot and/or in vehicles, both indoors and outdoors. Key responsibilities include managing access control, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, preparing reports, and deterring criminal activities and misconduct. This role requires flexibility, as the officer will work at various locations and may be called to work irregular shifts with little to no prior notice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security patrols of assigned areas, either on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Identify irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security risks or safety hazards.
  • Alert authorities in case of emergencies, such as fires or unauthorized individuals.
  • Address rule violations, including loitering or possession of prohibited items.
  • Authorize entry for permitted individuals and monitor access points.
  • Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure compliance with property removal protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports; maintain logs as required.
  • Assist customers, employees, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Make emergency notifications as dictated by site-specific Post Orders.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancing productivity and reducing costs to management.
  • Suggest improvements for physical security assessments and Post Orders.
Qualifications (Required):
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more of the following qualifications:
    • Experience in a Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement or security (e.g., Military Police, Elite Military Forces).
    • Graduation from a Certified Public Safety Academy or relevant work experience in law enforcement, corrections, or firefighting.
    • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice.
    • A minimum of 8 years of service in any military branch.
    • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) in law enforcement or criminal justice with military service.
  • Minimum age of 18 years (21 years if armed).
  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and console monitors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and active listening.
  • Capability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
  • Ability to compile, sort, and interpret data.
  • Experience in research and investigation.
  • Skill in conflict mediation with tact and diplomacy.
  • Clear and accurate writing skills.
  • Team-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
