Job Summary:

The Doe Run Company is seeking an Environmental Technician to support site(s) to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations.

This role is responsible for conducting environmental sampling, recording and certifying data, and overseeing the handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

The successful candidate will provide assistance in the environmental management system through internal auditing, training, and technical site support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental sampling, including air, water, groundwater, and waste sampling
  • Record and certify data
  • Oversee handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
  • Provide assistance in the environmental management system through internal auditing, training, and technical site support
  • Act as site team liaison with site personnel to implement environmental compliance plans and protocols

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in environmental science, biological science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a lab or outdoor setting preferred
  • Valid driver's license

Working Conditions:

The Environmental Technician will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to use computer/Tablet, drive personnel carriers and vehicles, and work in outdoor weather conditions.
