Job Overview

Duke Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology Stepdown Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a registered nurse to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on cardiology medicine patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to cardiology medicine patients with a range of diagnoses, including acute coronary syndrome, post cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, dysrhythmias, heart failure, heart transplant workups, and congenital heart disease.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessment and needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve patient goals and outcomes.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • One year or more of RN experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
