Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This role requires effective communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to handle confidential and stressful situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and accurately complete all examinations on MRI and radiography equipment as needed.
  • Pre-screen patients and screen them prior to performing the MRI procedure.
  • Provide patient care in an empathetic manner and interact with referring providers.
  • Communicate with NOIA to correct any imaging issues.
  • Exercise discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential information.
  • Perform quality control checks on MRI and radiography equipment and inform the information service and clinic manager of any problems.
  • Prioritize tasks and accomplish them in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Board Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MR or MR Certified through ARMRIT.
  • Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Current CPR/BLS.
  • Musculoskeletal MRI exam experience required.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a physician office and ambulatory MRI department preferred.
