Job Announcement

Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) is a leading public behavioral health care system serving Fairfax County in Northern Virginia. We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation services to approximately 24,000 clients annually. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care, and we are seeking a skilled Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medication as needed.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in emergency psychiatric evaluations and crisis intervention situations.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions for children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine degree and completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program.
  • Current and valid license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Eligibility for Board Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the DEA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a community setting.
  • Knowledge of modern psychiatric theory and practice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
