Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ambulatory Care Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing encounters and interactions with patients of all ages, ensuring a smooth and efficient visit experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage patient flow and ensure timely processing of patients.
  2. Accurately input registration and fiscal database information.
  3. Operate computer terminal and be proficient in multiple practice management systems.
  4. Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
  5. Assist with maintaining space and supply levels.
  6. Collect co-payments and perform daily reconciliation.
  7. Monitor waiting room and patient flow processes.
  8. Complete follow-up on past day's patient visits.
  9. Perform check-out functions, including scheduling follow-up visits.
  10. Assist with patient transport and support administrative and clinical staff as needed.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED, and a minimum of one year of applicable work experience. Additional training in office systems is preferred. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of practice operations and standards, as well as the ability to use phone systems and interpret information.

Working Conditions

The Ambulatory Care Coordinator will work in a hospital-based ambulatory practice, with some exposure to communicable diseases and unpleasant odors.
