Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Veregy LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and mechanical repair of machinery and equipment within the allotted budget and consistent with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduler/Planner to complete work assignments based on work priority, tool availability, and quantity of equipment.
  • Assist in managing tool and part inventories and conditions.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on shops to ensure adequate working conditions while maintaining compliance with maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Initiate work orders and ensure work order procedures are maintained.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed company records and reports when necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); and five (5) years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Veregy's services and processes is required, which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge.
  • Must have working knowledge of 480-volt 3-phase power distribution, including transformers, motor control centers, and power panels.
  • Familiarity with Simplex Fire Alarm systems, maintenance, and daily interactions.
  • Competency with Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Remote I/O, DC Speed Controllers, AC/DC Motors, and Motor Controls.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of utility systems, including hydraulics, air compressors, AHUs, pumps, and HVAC systems.
  • Understanding of mechanical power transfer systems, such as gear reducers, chain/belt drives, direct drives, bearings, shafts, and couplings.
  • Knowledge (Basic to Intermediate) of various operating systems and software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.
  • Ability to operate bridge cranes and jib cranes.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to utilize and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate in a team environment.
  • Possesses adequate problem-solving and support capabilities in repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to recognize inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to appropriate superiors.
