UFP Industries, Inc is seeking a skilled Truss Designer to join our operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our business strategy and ensuring we have the most effective operations.

About the Role

The Truss Designer II is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses for single-family projects. You will work closely with our sales and production teams to provide design services and troubleshooting support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design metal plate-connected wood trusses using Mitek software
• Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
• Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
• Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum high school graduate
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing roof/floor trusses for single-family projects
• Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred
• Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangers
