Job Summary:

Ryder is seeking a skilled Senior Diesel Technician to join our team in Pennsauken, NJ. As a Senior Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities:

Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work

Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable

Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision

Replace defective components as instructed

Perform facility maintenance duties

Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of the complaint once assigned a task

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred

Basic tools required

Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines

Three years or more relevant work experience preferred

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

Additional Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment

Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.

This position requires the ability to drive Ryder vehicles
