Job Summary

The EVP of IT Operations is a forward-thinking leader who drives the strategic direction and operational excellence of our infrastructure, cloud platforms, and application services. This role is pivotal in transforming our service delivery function through innovative solutions, robust cloud strategies, and effective DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the performance and reliability of data center operations and cloud platforms, including Azure, by implementing best practices for security and scalability.
  • Participate in strategic business planning, providing insights and future visions of technology trends and systems advancements.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across application development, infrastructure, and related technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure data integrity and enhance data management and reporting capabilities by employing advanced database management and data replication strategies.
  • Implement agile development processes, proactive troubleshooting, and preventative measures to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee comprehensive information security strategies, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and industry standards.
  • Direct the activities of approximately ~75 professional and technical personnel responsible for systems design, development, and analysis, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
  • Prepare and manage an annual budget of ~$10M+ optimizing resource allocation for hardware, software, and personnel needs.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of application programs, ensuring they meet SLA requirements, efficiency standards, and user department needs.
  • Analyze and improve existing and new application programs to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports in the area of strategic project initiation, timelines, and cost analysis, ensuring strategic alignment and timely delivery.
  • Lead customer technology information sharing committees, driving collaboration and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead DevSecOps initiatives to integrate security within development and operations, promoting a culture of security-first.
  • Oversee product management activities, ensuring they meet organizational goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Foster and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assign and review program designs for special projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement organizational effectiveness strategies, supporting various development lifecycles with clear objectives, budgets, policies, and procedures.
  • Standardize and enforce best practices and technology standards across the organization.
  • Manage vendor and external partner relationships, negotiating contracts and overseeing performance to ensure value and efficiency.
  • Present at Board of Directors and Customer Meetings
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; master's degree preferred or 10+ years in Senior IT Leadership roles with extensive knowledge of infrastructure and cloud services.

5+ years of experience managing large-scale application support, including legacy systems and modern cloud technologies.

Proven experience in developing and executing strategic IT operations plans.

Experience managing budgets exceeding $10M, with a strong track record in resource and vendor management.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting at the Board level.

Expertise in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and a strong background in DevSecOps.

Demonstrated success in product management and customer relationship management.
