About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support our mental health pharmacy team in a part-time float position. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to ensure pharmacy functions and compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Virginia
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
  • Ability to work between the Winchester and Front Royal sites
  • Ability to use own car to get to each location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
  • Basic competency with Excel and Teams
