Position Summary

As a vital member of the rehabilitation team, the Physical Therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing patient recovery and rehabilitation at Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to set individualized treatment objectives and develop tailored therapy plans.
  • Continuously assess patient progress and adjust treatment strategies to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Create detailed treatment goals aimed at improving patient outcomes and facilitating reintegration into daily activities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive treatment approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families, providing them with effective home exercise programs and guidance for a safe discharge.
  • Prepare for patient discharge by arranging necessary equipment and recommending follow-up therapeutic services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assess patients in various environments, including home and community settings, to support their transition back to normal activities.
  • Oversee the care delivery process, managing the involvement of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Must possess current state licensure or be eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
