Below are the essential job responsibilities and minimum qualifications required for application.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans. Communicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patient conditions, including diagnostic results. Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient status or treatment responses.

Demonstrate the ability to perform comprehensive assessments on patients of all ages and conduct reassessments as per established protocols.
Assess neonates at delivery and perform neonatal resuscitation in accordance with AHA guidelines. Effectively evaluate and manage pain, educating patients and families on pain management strategies. Maintain knowledge of medications and their appropriate administration based on patient age and clinical condition, adhering to the five rights of medication administration to minimize errors. Develop, adjust, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient responses to treatment.

Treat patients and their families with dignity and respect, addressing their psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs. Assist physicians with procedures in the outpatient setting and communicate clearly with charge nurses, colleagues, and physicians. Exhibit flexibility, organization, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Associate's degree preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred

Required Licenses
Current Registered Nurse license in Mississippi or a current Compact State Registered Nurse license.

Required Skills
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are mandatory within 90 days of hire or transfer.
