About the Opportunity
This role involves responsible work performing a variety of paralegal and administrative duties in support of Guardian ad Litem Office Attorneys. Key responsibilities include:

  • Citing, proofreading, and finalizing legal briefs under supervision
  • Maintaining case files, court calendars, and litigation timetables
  • Preparing case summaries, pleadings, orders, and summons under attorney supervision
  • Drafting and filing pleadings and motions for attorneys
  • Establishing working relationships with State Courts Systems personnel, private attorneys, and law firms

Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess knowledge of:

  • Legal citation and Bluebook
  • Legal terminology
  • Law and legal procedure
  • Grammar, spelling, and writing mechanics

Preferred Skills
We value candidates with experience in:

  • Paralegal or legal assistant training
  • LAW degrees or certification in legal technology, administration, or studies
  • Strong research and analytical skills
