Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the healthcare team at SNCH, responsible for providing a safe and efficient operating room environment for patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
• Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment
• Assist in the handling and processing of surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical procedure

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in surgical technology preferred
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an operating room environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of patients and equipment
• Exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
